ROBOTICS FOR OUTDOOR APPLICATIONS

sciota robotics develops, manufactures and customizes a multi-purpose UGV platform. It can be individually adapted to specific use cases. Mechanical extensions are suitable for loads up to several times of its own weight. Any number of additional components can be connected to the Arduino-based controller and the standard remote-control receiver. ROS (Robot Operating System) can connect to the Arduino and provides the higher-level mission control. Therewith you avoid vendor lock-in in your robotics projects.

Turnkey – The UGV is ready for immediate use. It can be controlled by an included remote-control over several hundred meters. Remote monitoring with cameras or recording of physical values with transportable measuring devices at remote locations is thus possible without additional development work.

Medium Robot Platform UGV with payload of about 60kg

Outdoor with Payload – All UGV Platforms are suitable for advanced use in light offroad terrain. They can be loaded with a multiple of their weight. Payload can be transported even in rough terrain.

ROS prepared – The basis for controlling is an Arduino Mega, open at the serial interface. Additional modules (NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi) control the platform via ROS (Robot Operating System).

Our Robots

Our portfolio includes three variants based on the common drive platform. All variants use standardized mechanical and electronic components. This means that any extensions can be added to the platform. The investment in the platform is therefore profitable in the long term. Each robot platform is delivered with a standard remote control for immediate commissioning, test and deployment.

Compact Robot

The Compact Robot Platform is suitable for use in environments with limited space. It can be equipped with additional sensors or mounted components. The Compact Robot Platform makes it possible to start working with driving platforms. Despite the compact design, loads up to several times its own weight can be carried. This means that heavyweight measuring equipment or tools can be transported.

Medium Robot Platform

The Medium Robot Platform is suitable for operations in light offroad environments. It can be equipped with additional sensors or additional constructions. The Medium Robot Platform is suitable for advanced use in light offroad terrain. At the same time, loads up to several times its own weight can be carried and transported over slight uneven surfaces. The slightly larger footprint compared to smaller platform variants also tolerates slightly higher additional constructions.

Flex Robot Platform

The Flex Robot Platform makes it possible to perform research and development in offroad environments. It loads up to about two times its own weight and transports it over uneven surfaces. With the higher ground clearance it can move over obstacles without loosing the permanent contact to the ground. Additionally, it is made of renewable resource and leads to a better ecological footprint.
